Deacon George’s Homily for 32nd Sunday in Ordinary Time

Can you remember the Gospel story you heard four Sundays ago?  Well, for those of you who can’t remember, I will give you a clue.  It was a parable in which, Jesus describes his kingdom as a wedding feast, to which many are invited but many refuse to come.  And again today, Jesus describes his kingdom as a wedding feast, but this time all the guests accept his invitation.  However, through carelessness, many were found unworthy to share in the wedding feast.  In today’s gospel, the ten bridesmaids represent all Christians who have received baptism.     And their baptism initiates their wedding invitation.  But this is only the beginning……..
