One of the problems with our society today is that we have become suspicious of each other. The gospel today talks about welcoming people, in this case specifically the Twelve apostles, but in a wider sense, all those who preach Jesus Christ, and open to all. But in our society today we are not encouraged to be open that way. If we find that a relative has been kind to a complete stranger then one of our immediate thoughts is, ‘Have you been sensible, what do you really know about them?’ In fact when we look at other human beings who do not belong to a particular group that we know to be ‘OK’, then we are wary…..
